Pricing

I offer a free 30 minute personal consultation service to discuss your requirements and goals. This session can take place virtually or in person, depending on availability and location. I will then suggest a plan, including an estimate of how long the project will take and how much it will cost.

I charge an hourly rate of £50.

All pricing is subject to Terms and Conditions (see below). 

I aim to travel either via foot or bike but will cover the cost of bus and tube travel within London myself. If travel via train or taxi is required, I will charge this to you as an expense. No expense charges will be made to you without prior agreement.

Confidentiality and privacy

Sort Your Space (“I/my” hereafter) is a professional and confidential service. All client information, such as contact number, email and address will be kept confidential and only used for purposes relating to Sort Your Space. I will reference other clients (and consequently new clients) from time to time during sessions as examples of how I work and the outcomes (e.g. I had a client who was downsizing and it took ‘x’ amount of sessions), I will however ensure discretion and never mention a client by name or share their personal information.


It is up to you who you tell (if anyone) about using this service, however others living in your household will need to be informed, particularly if you are looking to organise shared spaces and belongings.


For personal safety reasons, your address will be given to one other person on the day of your session but will not be stored by them.

Photos and social media

I will ask at the beginning of each session whether you consent to photos being taken for your personal use and/or use by Sort Your Space. Photos will be used for the purposes of documenting your progress and, if consent is given, as examples for potential future clients (who like to see these for an idea of the process and results) on social media and online at: www.sortyourspacetoday.co.uk. I would take care that the images did not contain factors which would identify you in this case. No images will be taken or shared without your clear consent.


Insurance info

I have Public Liability Insurance and Professional Indemnity Insurance. I will work with care and consideration but cannot accept liability for any damage to goods or property. Please ensure you have any insurance policies in place that will compensate you if necessary.


Remit

My aim is to achieve a state of organising that you are happy with. We will work together at your pace and review and revise throughout the process. You agree to take responsibility for what we achieve during a session and acknowledge that the aim and outcome of what we achieve might change as the task at hand evolves.


What I can and cannot do:

  • Removal of items - Whilst I will advise, the decision to remove/dispose of items must be at your own discretion and handled by you. I encourage recycling and donating unwanted items where possible and can offer advice on how to do this appropriately. I cannot remove items for tip disposal as I do not hold a waste carriers license.
  • Relocation of items - I am happy to help relocate items within your space, providing these are not deemed too heavy or potentially dangerous to move.
  • Cleaning – I am happy to assist in light cleaning duties that arise from the organising process (wiping surfaces, dusting shelved/drawers), but if more substantial cleaning is required then you will have to make your own arrangements for this.
  • Valuation - I cannot comment on the value of any items for personal or re-sale purposes.

Payment details

My services are charged at an hourly rate. The usual session length is three hours, however shorter sessions can sometimes be agreed at the consultation stage if appropriate. An invoice will be issued after each session and is payable within 14 days. Payments can be made in cash or direct by BACS using the bank details shown on the invoice. I pay tax and national insurance on all my income paid via any method.


Breaks

Short breaks will be taken during the sessions as needed; this will vary depending on the length of session and job at hand. Short breaks will be covered in the hourly rate. If a lunch break is required (30 minutes during a full day session) you will not be charged for this. I will bring my own refreshments and lunch (if required), you do not need to provide this.

Cancellation policy

I understand that the cancellation of a session might sometimes be required for exceptional circumstances. I ask that as much notice as possible is given (on both sides). If cancelled within 72 hours of the session's commencement, then the full fee will be charged.
