Introduction:

Sort Your Space is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of all those whose data I am handling. This privacy information notice aims to provide you with information about how and why I may be using information about you, how I keep the information safe and secure, how you can request access if you need it and retention information. This policy relates to personal data collected and processed relating to my current, prospective and former customers.


Data collection:

I collect, hold and process the following types of data:

  • Personal information (full name, contact telephone numbers, email address, address, zoom contact name, plus any additional online identities you choose to share for the purposes of;
  1. scheduling sessions with you or visiting your home for a scheduled session.
  2. communication, either in relation to your enquiry/session or directly for marketing purposes such as sending you newsletters or
    promotional material (if opted in).
  • Information about why you require a professional organising service at the point of enquiry and during the process to record progress.
  • Data analytics regarding your visits to our website for the purpose of performance monitoring including information about your web browser, IP address, time zone, and some of the cookies that are installed on your device.

All personal data is collected at the point of enquiry either by phone, email, web form or face to face. Any correspondence, details relating to sessions or updates to personal data will be collected via an on-going basis.


I will endeavour to ensure that your personal information is maintained and updated correctly. It is your duty to inform me of any changes to your personal information to ensure that it is up to date.


All personal data will be stored and accessed via password protections. Should any of your data be hacked, the following actions will be carried out within 72 hours:

  • The police will be informed of any physical theft or loss of devices (phone, laptop)
  • Contact all clients affected by the data breach to notify them and offer advice.
  • Escalate data breach as needed (for example notify email providers, regulatory bodies)

I will not sell or share any information about you with any third parties without your consent, or unless I am required to do so by law. Please be aware that for personal safety reasons, your address will be given to one other person on the day of your session but will not be stored by them.


All data will be stored for a reasonable amount of time, in line with GDPR requirements. Data for current clients will be kept on an on-going basis until my services are no longer required. At this point, all data will be stored for 2 years before being deleted. If you later re-employ my services (after 2 years) you will asked to provide all relevant information at the point of enquiry once again.

Right of access - You have the right to ask me for copies of your personal information.


Right of rectification and erasure – You have the right to ask me to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate or to ask me to complete information you think is incomplete. You also have the right to ask me to erase your personal information where you believe the data I hold is no longer required.


Right to restriction or object to the processing - You have the right to ask me to restrict or object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.


You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, I have one month to respond to you.
